As leaders in the study of the effects of aroma on health and well being, we create new accords and molecules from botanicals with healthy healing properties. Our greenhouse facilities nurture more than 750 species of plants, many unique to IFF's botanical collection. These plants are a source of new flavor and fragrance ingredient discoveries via several unique technologies:

• Living flowers and fruits are analyzed to create fragrance ingredients that smell exactly like their living counterparts.

• Aura of Aroma is a proprietary technology that enhances the diffusive and long lasting properties of fragrances.

• Ultra naturals are the creative blend of the best natural fragrance oils and nature-inspired fragrance accords that enhance the beautiful aroma of the original flower. Through IFF’s innovative technique, these fragrances have the aroma of the living flower together with the substantivity of the original oil.

• The Space Flower put IFF at the forefront of new ingredient discovery when the "Overnight Scentsation" rose was analyzed in space on the shuttle Discovery in November of 1998. Further exploration in space will be taking place soon.

• Botanical Hydroponic Technology moves IFF further into the 21st century with a new world of unique flower and fruit aromas. We broke ground with the addition of a hydroponics greenhouse, allowing the continued development and discovery of new scents from plants that are grown without the impurities present in soil.
