The IFF/ISIPCA Master of Science
in Scent Design and Creation
IFF has partnered with world’s premier fragrance school to offer the first and only accredited program of its kind. This partnership combines IFF’s 127-year creative legacy with the proven academic excellence that has forged ISIPCA.
This highly selective Master’s program immerses students in the foundations and pioneering advances of the profession, at a state-of-the-art campus in France, the historic heart of perfumery culture.
Students who complete the program receive a Masters of Science diploma from ISIPCA.
A new program unlike any other
This comprehensive 3-year program breaks ground in teaching the foundations and pioneering advances of designing fragrances. Graduates will be extraordinarily well equipped for careers as fine and consumer fragrance perfumers, scent design managers, technical perfumers and related roles.
Built upon the fundamentals of Fine Fragrance creation,
with foundational instruction in the world of Consumer Fragrance.
Taught by a vibrant and passionate faculty of industry experts, courses include intensive and extensive study of raw materials, history of perfume and market knowledge, consumer insights, creativity, personal development, and pedagogical visits, including Grasse and the new Grande Musée de Parfum in Paris.
Students explore various professional specializations as fine or consumer fragrance perfumers, evaluators or scent design managers, marketing, sales, and technologists, and related roles.
IFF Insight sessions allow students the opportunity to meet perfumers and scent design managers from around the globe, sharing their personal perspectives and inspirations.
Specialized Internship opportunities apply classroom learning to on-the-job experience.
ISIPCA’s ideal student has the heart of an artist, is inherently curious, and is driven by a fire within to push boundaries. They are also grounded in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics, and proficient or fluent in English.
The program is highly selective with a specific admission process, highlighted below. The admission process is managed by ISIPCA.
- • Education: Bachelor or minimum 2-3 year degree in Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Engineering, Biochemistry or Mathematics.
- • This program is taught in English, and fluency is required.
Tuition and Fees
- • ISIPCA Tuition: €10,000 per year
- • ISIPCA Application Fee: €200, payable to ISIPCA online
- Application – Prospective Students must complete and submit application directly to ISIPCA by March 31st, 2017
