Arthur C. Martinez is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Emeritus of Sears, Roebuck and Company and serves as a Director of PepsiCo, Inc., Liz Claiborne, Inc., and IAC/InterActiveCorp. He is a member of the Supervisory Board of ABN AMRO Holding, N.V. He served as Chairman and CEO of Sears from 1995 to 2000 and Chairman and CEO of its retail arm, Sears Merchandise Group, from 1992 to 1995. Prior to his tenure at Sears, he was Vice Chairman at Saks Fifth Avenue, where he worked in various senior positions for 12 years.

Mr. Martinez has been a member of IFF's Board of Directors since 2000. He serves on the Audit Committee, which oversees the financial operations of IFF and the Company's relationship with its independent accountants. He also serves on the Nominating and Governance Committee, which recruits, reviews qualifications of, and recommends nominees to fill Board vacancies and newly created directorships, and monitors and makes recommendations to the Board on corporate governance issues.
