Since launching PRISMA in 2017, our LGBTQIA+&nbsp;Colleague Community,&nbsp;we\u2019ve&nbsp;built a worldwide network of visibility, support, and empowerment. What began as&nbsp;a&nbsp;grassroots effort has grown into a global movement, connecting employees across continents and fostering a culture where everyone can thrive and contribute&nbsp;meaningfully.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-ea2c0b3a-cca7-4261-aa90-525c7348dbb2\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-f4529330-c95d-4d6d-b7a5-03642f90c781\"><em>&#8220;For&nbsp;us&nbsp;inclusion&nbsp;isn\u2019t just a&nbsp;policy\u2014it\u2019s a promise we live every day. We believe that when people feel safe to be themselves, they unlock their full potential to innovate, collaborate, and lead. PRISMA is a powerful example of how grassroots passion can grow into&nbsp;a&nbsp;organizational&nbsp;movement\u2014one that connects colleagues across regions and&nbsp;backgrounds and&nbsp;fosters a culture where everyone belongs.\u201d&nbsp;<\/em>\u2014&nbsp;<em>Ralf Finzel, EVP,&nbsp;Global&nbsp;Operations Officer<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-62777ea2-fbde-4d2d-abc4-1faf7f61ccff\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-d29739bf-e9c9-4cfa-901e-d0970fba284f\">In 2019,&nbsp;IFF&nbsp;became the first in our industry to join the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.global-lgbti.org\/the-supporters\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UN Standards of Conduct for Business<\/a>,&nbsp;taking a firm stand against discrimination toward lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex people. We also proudly support the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrc.org\/resources\/corporate-equality-index\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Business Coalition for the Equality Act<\/a>, advocating for protections that ensure everyone\u2014regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity\u2014is treated with dignity and fairness in the workplace and beyond.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-5a94064a-cdcf-4826-b9b8-5219fb52cb01\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\" id=\"block-9e25ebfe-48f3-4d1c-aff7-b7f3d2b1f0c7\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Budapest.jpg\" alt=\"Participants walking in a Pride parade along a city street, surrounded by rainbow flags and balloons. Even before PRISMA, I felt supported at IFF&nbsp;Brazil. Our HR team\u2019s proactive approach to diversity made it clear that inclusion&nbsp;at IFF&nbsp;isn\u2019t&nbsp;just talk\u2014it\u2019s&nbsp;action.\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;<em>&#8211; Gui, Marketing Director, Scent <\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-baa11501-c357-46be-8a89-4cad8006c393\"><em>&nbsp;<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-d797a677-db79-48cd-8293-ce8b790fbd61\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"From_Local_Roots_to_Global_Reach\"><\/span><strong>From Local Roots to Global Reach<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-b6999cd4-fcc2-4d37-976e-759c78fda6ce\">What started as small, local actions in cities like S\u00e3o Paulo, New York, Hilversum, and Mexico City has grown into a truly global movement.&nbsp;When the pandemic pushed us to connect virtually, PRISMA\u2019s reach expanded,&nbsp;bringing together colleagues and external voices to raise awareness and build inclusive communities around the world.&nbsp;In PRISMA\u2019s early days, that&nbsp;momentum helped IFF earn the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.iff.com\/es\/media\/stories\/iff-named-best-place-to-work-for-lgbtq-equality-hrc-cei\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality<\/a>\u201d designation from the&nbsp;Human Rights Corporate Equality Index&nbsp;for&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrc.org\/press-releases\/200-major-u-s-companies-oppose-anti-lgbtq-state-legislation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">two consecutive years<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;earning a perfect score of 100 from the Index for&nbsp;consecutive years&nbsp;for&nbsp;a number of&nbsp;years in the 2020\u2019s for LGBTQ+ equality and workplace inclusion.
