At IFF, our scientific advancements in the development of enzymes targeting stain removal have given rise to new innovations aimed at the life cycle of fabrics.
We have done this for cotton with our cellulase and are now doing it for polyester garments. Today, polyester is one of the most widely used fabrics in fashion due to its affordability, durability and versatility. Like other commonly known fabric types, polyester is also affected by wear and tear from washing.
IFF understands that innovative solutions are required to address a popular fabric that needs targeted care. Today’s consumers value sustainability and demand high-performing laundry detergents.
Polyesterase was first developed 25 years ago. Initially used to modify the surface of polyester fabric to enhance dye uptake, IFF scientists recently discovered its versatility and ability to reduce degradation in fabrics like polyester.
Performance. Naturally better.
