GENENCARE OSMS BA Betaine benefits in skin

Skin Care

GENENCARE® OSMS BA natural Betaine is an osmolyte extracted from sugar beets. It offers multiple benefits for skin care formulations:

  • Moisturization: Helps manage water balance in the skin, providing long-term hydration by protecting keratinocytes from hyperosmotic stress, or sometimes known as hydric stress.
  • Strengthens Skin Barrier: Reinforces the tight junctions in the epidermis, reducing trans-epidermal water loss and enhancing skin barrier integrity.
GENENCARE AURIST Hair Care Benefits

Hair Care

Due to Betaine’s affinity with keratin, GENENCARE® OSMS BA natural betaine offers several benefits for hair care:

  • Hair Strengthening: Betaine deposits on hair surface and penetrates into the cortex to help protect hair and repair the damages, improving tensile strength and reducing broken fibers and split ends.
  • Frizz Control: Helps reduce frizz in humid conditions, making hair easier to style and reducing friction damage.
  • Scalp Protection: Mitigates irritation from surfactants and reinforces the skin barrier, reducing water loss and promoting a healthy scalp.
