Get faster and more efficient

Our wide range of additives are specially designed to boost operational efficiencies by accelerating fermentation, increasing yields and reducing consumption of energy and natural resources—moving your business forward.

Are You Recovering All the Corn Oil You Can?

Corn oil recovery is a high-value opportunity for ethanol producers—but are you truly capturing its full potential? The average ethanol plant in the U.S. is recovering only about 50-60% of total yield. That means up to half of the available corn oil is left behind. With the right strategies and technologies, you could be capturing more corn oil, improving your bottom line and enhancing overall plant efficiency. So, what’s holding you back from getting every drop? It might be time to take a closer look at your process and ask: Are we truly maximizing our corn oil recovery?

OPTIMASH® Products

Our OPTIMASH® range of products consists of a diverse line of accessory enzymes including:

optimash_1280x600

Xylanases

Xylanases hydrolyze the arabinoxylans in corn fiber, making previously unavailable starch accessible. Alpha-amylases can now act on this starch and allow it to be converted to fermentable sugars.

Cellulases

Cellulases increase corn yield by freeing oil from the corn fiber matrix. They also improve energy efficiency by dewatering the corn kernel fiber, thereby decreasing natural gas usage and allowing customers to generate in-situ cellulosic ethanol gallons.

Proteases

Proteases help increase corn oil and ethanol yield paired with a lipase for superior foam control.

Phytases

Phytases break down phytate during ethanol fermentation, releasing inositol—a key nutrient for yeast—and boosting free phosphate in DDGS, to enhance animal feed value and reduce fouling while improving heat exchange efficiency.

Trehalases

Trehalases are used for hydrolyzing extracellular trehalose to glucose during the SSF process, which can then be converted into additional ethanol.

Improve Fermentation Efficiency

FERMGEN® 2.5X

FERMGEN® 2.5X is a range of acid proteolytic enzymes designed to hydrolyze proteins under low pH conditions. The broad substrate specificity of FERMGEN® 2.5X protease enables the enzyme to easily and efficiently hydrolyze most proteins in a random fashion – delivering faster fermentation rates and yield.
